Born and raised on the coast of Maine, Addison LaBonte grew up surrounded by natural beauty and a tight-knit community that valued hard work and authenticity. At the University of Maine, Addison’s competitive spirit led her to walk on to the Division I women’s soccer team, where she eventually earned a full scholarship and played every minute of every game. Her college years were defined by discipline, grit, and pushing herself beyond what she thought possible. Though she didn’t know it at the time, those same qualities would later prove essential when life took an unexpected turn toward entrepreneurship.

After graduation, Addison moved from her hometown in Maine to Dallas, Texas. It was there, inspired by her own gluten free journey and frustration at the lack of truly delicious options, that she decided to launch Sweet Addison’s: a gluten free, dairy free bakery brand rooted in real ingredients and real flavor. What began as a home baking business grew into a thriving e-commerce brand.

Driven by creativity and an unwavering commitment to quality, Addison led Sweet Addison’s to national recognition, developing best-selling flavors and collaborating with wellness brands along the way. Customers embraced the brand not just for the cookies and brownies, but for its authenticity and heart—a reflection of Addison’s own story and values.

Today, being featured in Forbes feels surreal to Addison, who still marvels at how a passion she never planned to turn into a business has become her life’s work.
