Ruben Landa of WSP joins DallasMeetup at Legacy Hall
The team at DallasMeetup is excited to announce Ruben Landa of WSP is the latest Featured Networker debut joining DallasMeetup’s Transportation Cohort at Legacy Hall.
Ruben Landa is a seasoned executive and respected leader in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, bringing more than 26 years of experience in public involvement, public affairs, strategic communications, and project management. He currently serves as Vice President, Advisory and Planning Services, and Communications Advisory Services Lead for Texas and Louisiana at WSP USA, where he helps public and private sector clients navigate complex infrastructure, transportation, and community-focused initiatives.
Throughout his career, Ruben has played a key leadership role on some of the nation’s most significant transportation and infrastructure projects. His experience spans the planning, development, and delivery of major investments across the rail and transit, heavy highway, aviation, and maritime sectors, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities associated with each mode of transportation. His expertise includes planning, stakeholder engagement, public policy, government relations, public involvement, and strategic communications. With a deep understanding of the political, community, and institutional factors that influence major public investments, he develops and implements strategies that build consensus, foster public trust, and deliver successful outcomes for both clients and the communities they serve.
Ruben is widely recognized for his commitment to advancing the transportation, planning, and construction industries through collaboration and leadership. He has built strong partnerships across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors and has held numerous leadership positions within prominent advocacy and professional organizations. He is a Past President of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) North Texas Chapter and previously served on the COMTO National Board of Directors, supporting the nation’s largest minority- focused, multimodal transportation organization. He also served as Chairman of the Board for the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA), the largest Hispanic contractor association in the United States. Currently, Ruben serves as President of the Greater Dallas Planning Council (GDPC), one of North Texas’s leading organizations dedicated to shaping the future of urban planning, development, and regional growth.
A proud Texan, Ruben earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Political Science from Sam Houston State University. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is an accomplished international marathon runner whose dedication, discipline, and perseverance reflect the same qualities that have defined his leadership throughout his career.
