Israel Ramos is a Talent Acquisition professional with more than 13 years of Human Resources and recruiting experience, currently serving as a Talent Acquisition Partner at Southwest Airlines. In his role, Israel partners with leaders across Network Planning, Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, Crew Planning, Operations, and other specialized areas to recruit talent across a broad range of positions, from individual contributor through Director level roles. He advises leaders on talent markets, compensation, sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and hiring decisions while serving as a trusted partner throughout the recruiting process.
Throughout his career at Southwest, Israel has developed deep experience in strategic recruiting, talent sourcing, candidate experience, skills based hiring, and consultative partnership with business leaders. He has recruited for complex and highly specialized roles and is known for building strong relationships with hiring leaders, understanding business needs, and identifying talent with the skills and experience to support organizational goals. His work also includes leveraging recruiting and HR technology, including Workday, Phenom, and Adaptive, while contributing to process improvements and supporting fellow recruiters through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Israel began his Human Resources career in 2013, building a broad foundation in HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, and workforce planning. At Milliman, he provided comprehensive HR support for more than 500 employees across Dallas and multiple remote offices, partnering with senior leaders and business unit leaders to identify staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategies. He managed full cycle recruiting across consulting functions including Health, Retirement, Actuarial, and Investment, as well as Sales, Marketing, and Finance, recruiting talent from entry level through Partner. His responsibilities also included advising leaders on employee relations matters, supporting disciplinary actions and terminations, developing and delivering new hire onboarding programs, managing payroll and compliance activities, and creating employee recognition initiatives. This experience established a strong foundation in both strategic and hands on HR and shaped his approach to Talent Acquisition as a business partner with a broader understanding of organizational needs.
Israel holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of North Texas, with a focus in Human Resources Management, Marketing, and Non Profit Studies. He also holds an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Dallas College.
Outside of work, Israel enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, working on home improvement projects, and attending professional networking events. He enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and connecting with others both personally and professionally.
