Michael Bohme is the Director of Digital Business Development and Operations at the PGA of America, based in Frisco. He leads the association's digital revenue strategy outside of its major championships. His work focuses on creating value for over 31,000 PGA Professionals through net-new revenue streams, digital platforms, and incubating zero-to-one product initiatives. Michael also serves as a lead for the organizationās transformation to adopt AI.
His perspective is shaped by 15 years at the intersection of technology and sport. Before the PGA, Michael spent almost a decade at Fitbit and Google. He directed the partnership product and marketing strategy for the first and second-generation Pixel Watch, the first wearables released by Google. Additionally, he led partnerships for the Fitbit subscription and app experience, helping the brand transition from a hardware focus to a software-led business model. His background in scaling global products allows him to navigate the golf industry with a user-first mindset.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Sport Management. After 12 years in San Francisco, he recently moved to the DFW area and is building sustainable partnership frameworks that benefit the user, the partner, the association, and the golf professional.
