The team at DallasMeetup is excited to present its Not-for-Profit cohort at Texas Live! August 13th.

The team at DallasMeetup is proud to announce that Elissa Izmailyan, Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at Texas Trees Foundation, is the latest Featured Networker joining the lineup for DallasMeetup at Texas Live!.

Elissa Izmailyan is Chief Strategy and Operations Officer at Texas Trees Foundation, where she leads efforts to transform public spaces through large-scale, tree-centric projects. She brings deep expertise in guiding multidisciplinary teams and forging public-private-community partnerships to deliver tangible, lasting impact to urban landscapes.

Elissa began her career at the Trust for Public Land’s Center for City Park Excellence, an internal think tank, where she evaluated and communicated the economic and social value of urban parks and shared best practices for funding, operations, and citywide planning.

From 2011 to 2018, she served as an open space practice leader at HR&A Advisors, a national real estate and public policy consulting firm. She advised dozens of urban development and park projects across North America and relocated to Dallas in 2016 to open and lead the firm’s Texas office.

In 2019, she joined the Children & Nature Network to advance the “Cities Connecting Children to Nature” initiative, providing technical guidance to municipal leaders and community partners to ensure equitable access to nature. She later led community development for the Trinity Park Conservancy, guiding neighborhood planning and community projects aligned with the development of Harold Simmons Park, a 200-acre urban nature park in Dallas.

Elissa holds a BA in Economics from Brown University. She lives in Dallas and enjoys exploring the city’s parks, trails, and conservation areas with her family.
