DallasMeetup Spotlight: Laila Sarvarian
DallasMeetup: Who are you and what is your day job?
Laila: I’m Laila Sarvarian, and I work in business development at TriNet. I partner with growing companies to streamline HR, benefits, and compliance so leadership teams can focus on scaling instead of getting stuck in day-to-day administrative tasks.
Why did you join DallasMeetup’s Executive Organizing team?
DallasMeetup creates a space where people actually build real relationships, not just collect business cards. I wanted to be part of shaping that experience and bringing together ambitious, thoughtful people across industries.
For someone attending DallasMeetup for the first time, how should they show up to get the most value?
Come in curious, not transactional. Don’t try to “work the room” have a few real conversations, ask good questions, and follow up after. That’s where the value actually compounds.
What cohort or event has been your favorite thus far and why?
The upcoming FinTech cohort is the one I’m most excited about. I work closely with financial services and tech companies, so it’s a space I’m really connected to. It brings together people who are building and scaling in a way that’s both fast-moving and highly regulated, which always makes for strong, practical conversations.
What trends are you seeing right now in your industry or cohort that attendees should be paying attention to?
Companies are being more intentional about how they scale especially around people ops, benefits strategy, and compliance. There’s also a big shift toward using AI to automate low-value tasks so teams can focus on higher-impact work.
