DallasMeetup Selects Nonprofits as Its Next Featured Cohort Ahead of North Texas Giving Day

For the past several years, DallasMeetup has brought together founders, executives, investors, innovators, and community leaders from across North Texas through industry-focused networking experiences designed to accelerate meaningful connections.

This August, we're turning our attention toward an industry that impacts every corner of our region: The nonprofit sector.

DallasMeetup is proud to announce that nonprofit organizations will serve as the Featured Networker Cohort for our next flagship event, strategically timed ahead of North Texas Giving Day, the nation's largest community-wide giving event.

Our goal is ambitious: To convene what may become the largest gathering of 501(c)(3) organizations in DFW leading into North Texas Giving Day.

Why Nonprofits?

North Texas is home to thousands of nonprofit organizations tackling some of society's most important challenges—from education and healthcare to workforce development, veterans services, disability advocacy, economic mobility, arts and culture, housing, food insecurity, and beyond.

These organizations collectively improve millions of lives every year, yet many operate with limited resources while simultaneously managing fundraising, volunteer recruitment, awareness building, board development, corporate partnerships, and community engagement.

At DallasMeetup, we believe the strongest communities are built when people know each other.

  • Connections create opportunities.

  • Opportunities create partnerships.

  • Partnerships create impact.

By bringing together nonprofit executives, development leaders, board members, volunteers, philanthropists, corporate sponsors, elected officials, and engaged citizens under one roof, we hope to create a platform where meaningful collaborations can begin long before Giving Day arrives.

Building Momentum for North Texas Giving Day

For more than a decade, North Texas Giving Day has demonstrated the incredible generosity of our region, helping raise hundreds of millions of dollars for local nonprofits through the leadership of organizations such as the Communities Foundation of Texas.

While Giving Day itself serves as a powerful moment of generosity, we believe the weeks leading up to it represent an equally important opportunity for nonprofits to build awareness, expand their networks, and establish new relationships.

That's why this cohort is about more than a single evening.

It's about creating visibility for organizations doing important work across North Texas and introducing them to the people, companies, and community leaders who may become future supporters, advocates, donors, volunteers, or strategic partners.

A Platform for Worthy Causes

Participating nonprofit organizations will have opportunities to:

  • Increase awareness of their mission

  • Connect with potential donors and volunteers

  • Meet corporate leaders seeking community partnerships

  • Build relationships with fellow nonprofit leaders

  • Expand their visibility throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth business community

  • Generate momentum leading into North Texas Giving Day

As with previous DallasMeetup cohorts, select nonprofit leaders and organizations will be highlighted in advance as Featured Networkers, helping attendees discover causes and missions they may wish to support before they ever walk through the door.

Bringing the Entire Ecosystem Together

The nonprofit sector does not operate in isolation.

Its success depends on collaboration among businesses, foundations, government agencies, civic organizations, philanthropists, media partners, educational institutions, and engaged citizens.

That's why this event is being designed as a gathering for the entire ecosystem—not just nonprofits themselves.

Whether you're a nonprofit executive director, development officer, foundation representative, CSR leader, philanthropist, entrepreneur, elected official, volunteer, or simply someone looking to make a difference in the community, this will be an opportunity to meet the organizations shaping the future of North Texas.

A Community Built Around Connection

DallasMeetup was founded on a simple belief:

Great things happen when the right people meet each other.

As we approach North Texas Giving Day, there is no better time to bring together the organizations and individuals committed to making our region stronger.

We look forward to welcoming nonprofit leaders from across Dallas-Fort Worth and showcasing the incredible work happening every day throughout our communities.

Together, let's build the relationships that fuel the next generation of impact across North Texas.
