Dallas College Leads the Way as DallasMeetup’s First Annual Partner

Strengthening Local Business Connections and Expanding Access to Educational Resources in DFW

DallasMeetup is proud to announce Dallas College as its first official annual partner — a milestone collaboration that underscores both organizations’ shared mission to strengthen business and community connections across North Texas.

As Dallas College celebrates its 60th year of empowering students and professionals, this partnership comes at a pivotal time. The institution, one of the largest community college systems in the nation, is joining forces with DallasMeetup to help the region’s business leaders, entrepreneurs, and workforce better understand and access the resources, talent, and industry programs available through the college’s seven campuses.

“Dallas College has long been a cornerstone of workforce development in North Texas,” said Carson Gibbons, founder of DallasMeetup. “This partnership allows us to bridge the gap between education and enterprise — ensuring our local business community knows how to tap into the incredible assets Dallas College has to offer.”

Through this year-long collaboration, Dallas College will serve as a spotlight partner at each quarterly DallasMeetup event. Attendees will hear from industry experts, learn about Dallas College’s sector-specific programs, and discover how the college is equipping the next generation of professionals in fields like construction science, technology, healthcare, and business innovation.

In addition to on-site engagement, Dallas College will be featured across DallasMeetup’s digital channels, including quarterly newsletter features, podcast episodes, and social spotlights designed to highlight the people, programs, and partnerships shaping DFW’s growth.

“We see this as more than a sponsorship — it’s a community partnership,” said Dr. Justin Lonon, Chancellor of Dallas College. “By aligning with DallasMeetup, we’re excited to showcase how Dallas College’s programs and partnerships are directly supporting North Texas’ economic development and workforce needs.”

Over the next year, DallasMeetup and Dallas College will collaborate on panels, events, and storytelling efforts that shine a light on the region’s evolving industries and the educational pathways that keep DFW’s business ecosystem strong.

Together, they’re building a bridge between education and opportunity, ensuring the Dallas-Fort Worth business community continues to grow — informed, inspired, and connected.
