Tamika Perry of Dallas Hope Charities to be featured at DallasMeetup

The team at DallasMeetup is excited to announce Tamika Perry, Chief Executive Officer of Dallas Hope Charities, is the latest Featured Networker debut joining DallasMeetup at Texas Live!

Tamika Perry is the CEO of Dallas Hope Charities, where she works to advance DHC’s current programming and mission in the Dallas area. Originally growing up in East St. Louis, Illinois. Tamika earned a B.A. in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University before receiving her Master of Science in Nonprofit Management.  

Dallas Hope Charities provides housing through Hope to Finally Home, which encompasses the Hope Center—North Texas's first LGBTQIA+-focused transitional living center, providing young adults aged 18–24 with shelter, educational guidance, life-skills training, and suicide prevention resources—alongside the Finally Home rental assistance program. DHC also provides emergency shelter and runs a community resource program through Hope Street, a facility-based outreach initiative designed to connect individuals directly to essential services.  

Under Tamika's leadership, DHC addresses systemic issues and social isolation. She champions Hopeful Discussions, an educational series aimed at reducing homophobia and promoting inclusivity across schools and businesses. Additionally, DHC supports the Collective Hope Coalition, an initiative bringing together over 40 local organizations to combat suicide rates among LGBTQIA+ youth, alongside partnering with the Dallas Police Department’s Safe Place program.  
Tamika moved to Dallas from Chicago in 2016, bringing a proven track record of success in program development, fundraising, and management. Throughout her time in Dallas, she has built a strong network of local donors, community leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations to serve the community—driven by her natural passion for seeking equality and justice for underserved populations.  

Widely recognized for her executive leadership and advocacy, Tamika was awarded the 2024 D CEO Leadership Excellence Award by D Magazine and selected as one of 60 national leaders for the 2024 class of the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, focusing on expanding wraparound services for transitional housing. Through strategic partnerships and funding from major philanthropic organizations—including the Leland Fikes Foundation, The Addy Foundation, and Communities Foundation of Texas—she continues to drive sustainable growth and advocate for equitable support for marginalized communities across Dallas-Fort Worth.
