Samuel Kunzman of the James S. Kunzman Foundation to be featured at DallasMeetup

In addition to building a successful real estate investment platform across the region, Samuel is the Founder of the James S. Kunzman Foundation, a nonprofit organization built around a simple but powerful idea: America’s pastime should be a rite of passage for all kids. The Foundation works to keep children in the game by helping fund multi season baseball and softball equipment, reducing fees for families, and building stronger communities around youth sports.

Founded in honor of his late father, the James S. Kunzman Foundation has quickly become one of the most exciting new mission driven organizations in the Southwest. In a remarkably short period of time, the Foundation has already made visible impact in Belen, Albuquerque through Westgate Little League, and Pueblo, earning meaningful press coverage and building real momentum around a cause that resonates deeply with families and communities.

Under Samuel’s leadership, the Foundation is doing more than writing checks. It is bringing together leagues, schools, coaches, civic organizations, financial institutions, universities, and families around the shared mission of making baseball and softball more accessible, more community centered, and less driven by cost barriers. In underserved communities where alignment is often difficult and trust must be earned, the Foundation has already built a diverse coalition of partners that is far from trivial.

The Foundation’s first major camp in Albuquerque is set for July 2026, and its first Las Cruces camp is set for August 2026, marking another important step in expanding its footprint and impact across New Mexico. These camps build on a growing model of free youth programming, community events, and cross sector partnerships designed to keep kids engaged in the game and connected to positive role models.

Samuel lives in Dallas and sees DFW as a major next chapter for the Foundation’s growth. He also serves on the board of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Young Professionals, reflecting his broader commitment to civic and cultural leadership in the city. With exciting initiatives already in the works for North Texas, he is poised to bring the same energy, vision, and impact to this market that has already turned heads across New Mexico and Colorado.

Samuel was also recently named one of 250 New Mexicans honored through the 250 Flags initiative tied to America’s 250th anniversary, recognizing individuals whose service and commitment represent the best of the state.
