Under her leadership, Cancer Care Services has expanded its programs to include survivorship navigation, enhanced caregiver support, Community Health Workers, cancer disparities initiatives, spiritual support services, and expanded financial assistance programs. In 2018, the organization was designated the lead agency for the Tarrant County Cancer Disparities Coalition.

Wilson was honored as a Great Woman of Texas by the Fort Worth Business Press in recognition of her contributions to the nonprofit sector and the community.
