Jason Vallejo of Elevate North Texas to be featured at DallasMeetup
The team at DallasMeetup is proud to announce Jason Vallejo, Founder & Executive Director of Elevate North Texas, is the latest Featured Networker debut joining DallasMeetup at Texas Live!
Jason Vallejo is the Founder and Executive Director of Elevate North Texas, a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affirming emergency shelter and personalized case management for youth ages 18–24 experiencing homelessness.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jason recognized a critical gap in North Texas' homeless response system: while transitional housing programs existed for young adults, there were no dedicated emergency shelter options for youth in immediate crisis. In response, he founded Elevate North Texas to address this urgent need.
Under Jason’s leadership, Elevate developed innovative programs focused on emergency shelter and housing stability, including a hotel-based shelter program and a diversion and reunification program that helps youth reconnect with supportive family members or friends whenever possible.
Recognizing that housing is only one part of the solution, Elevate’s case management model focuses on building trust and connecting youth to resources such as employment assistance, healthcare, mental health services, transportation, and life-skills training.
Since its founding, Elevate North Texas has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from 6 shelter beds at the start of 2025 to 30 beds in 2026. The organization has engaged more than 800 youth and provided shelter to over 300 young people experiencing homelessness.
Jason is an active community leader and serves on the Housing Forward Dallas Executive Council, the SMU Advisory Board, and the North Texas Human Trafficking Coalition. Prior to moving to Dallas in 2017, he served as Outreach Director at a large South Texas church, where he led initiatives supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and coordinated back-to-school programs serving more than 3,000 youth annually.
