The team at DallasMeetup is excited to announce Janel Forte of WFAA is the latest Featured Networker debut joining DallasMeetup’s Transportation Cohort at Legacy Hall.

Transportation is pretty much in Janel Forte’s blood. Her mom spent her career with American Airlines, her dad is a former transit union president, and her brother works in commuter rail — so it feels pretty fitting that Janel now covers how people and places stay connected in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.

As WFAA’s transportation reporter and anchor, she reports on everything from airlines and airports to public transit, highways, infrastructure and the rapid growth reshaping North Texas.

Janel has worked in Houston, Atlanta and now Dallas, reporting at both the local and national level with a focus on making complex systems, major projects and big changes feel relevant to the people who actually experience them every day.

A Cornell University graduate, Janel also earned her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

And if there’s a new airline route, major highway project or big change coming to the way DFW gets around, there’s a good chance Janel is already asking questions about it.
