Clarence Bethea of ‘What VC’s Won’t Say’ to be featured at DallasMeetup
DallasMeetup is proud to announce that Clarence Bethea, Managing Partner @ What VCs Won’t Say, Advisor & former Investor at True Ventures, Founder @ Upsie (Acquired by Akko), is the latest Featured Networker joining DallasMeetup at The Village Country Club 🤝
Clarence Bethea began his career in entrepreneurship when he founded Upsie, an online marketplace for purchasing transparent extended electronics warranties, putting more power into the hands of consumers rather than big-box stores. Throughout this journey, he raised over $30 million in venture capital and led the company through its acquisition in 2023. His passion for building products that empower customers evolved into a new role where he was executive in residence and early-stage startup investor at Silicon Valley venture capital firm True Ventures, who has over $5B under management. He now serves as an advisor to the firm.
Building on this passion for equipping entrepreneurs, Clarence launched What VCs Won’t Say — a platform, course, and community created to give founders unfiltered insights into fundraising and venture capital. Through this work, he is focused on preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs with the tools, truth, and confidence they need to succeed.
